AMARGOSA VALLEY TOWN ADVISORY BOARD

  1. Pledge of Allegiance

  2. Action - Approval of the Agenda for the Amargosa Valley Advisory Board’s meeting of September 30, 2010.

  3. Action – Approval of the minutes from the July 29, 2010, August 26, 2010 and September 09, 2010 meetings.

  4. Action – Nominations for 3 Amargosa Valley Town Advisory Board Members who’s seats will become vacant on December 31, 2010.

  5. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item.

    1. Action – Create and possibly appoint the members of a By-Laws Committee to review and make any necessary changes to the Amargosa Valley Town Advisory Board By-Laws.

    2. Action – Create and possibly appoint the members of a committee to research and collect data in regards to becoming a Town Board Form of Government.

    3. Action – Discussion and decision to ask the BOCC for a stop work order on the Multi-Generational Appropriation from Congress to be issued after the environmental assessment has been completed, in order to do a full review of the project.

    4. Action – Discussion and decision to request funding from the BOCC for the salary of the part-time fill-in secretary to assist in the Town Office until the paperwork back-log is brought current.

    5. Discussion Only: Discussion regarding drafting a letter condemning the Nye County Emergency Services Dept. for the recklessness in their attempt to take control of the Amargosa Valley Volunteer Fire Dept., and the resulting loss of a great number of volunteers in both the fire service and emergency medical service as well.

    6. Action – Set dates and times of the November 2010 and December 2010 meetings.
