AMARGOSA VALLEY TOWN ADVISORY BOARD

  1. Pledge of Allegiance

  2. Action - Approval of the Agenda for the Amargosa Valley Advisory Board’s meeting of October 28, 2010.

  3. Action – Approval of the minutes from the July 29, 2010, August 26, 2010 and September 24, 2010 meetings.

  4. Action – Additional nominations for 3 Amargosa Valley Town Advisory Board Members who’s seats will become vacant on December 31, 2010.

  5. Correspondence and Announcements

    1. Letter from Nye County Sheriff’s Office Detective Ed W. Howard with attachments.

  6. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item.

    1. Action – Discussion of any item from the Consent Agenda Items that needs review before a decision is made.

    2. Approval of Town Vouchers

    1. Presentation – Presentation by Dan McArthur, external auditor, on findings of independent audit.

    2. Action – Discussion, deliberation, and possible decision to direct the Nye County HR Manager to request authorization from the Nye County Board of County Commissioners to authorize the advertising and filling of the Station Superintendent & Emergency Responder. This position was vacated on October 6, 2010.

    3. Action – Create and possibly appoint the members of a By-Laws Committee to review and make any necessary changes to the Amargosa Valley Town Advisory Board By-Laws.

    4. Action - Discussion, deliberation and possible decision on revising the Amargosa Town Advisory Board By-Laws Article VIII Section 4, deleting the last sentence which reads "Any Committee that acquires monies shall submit those monies to the Town Secretary for safe keeping." And replacing with "Any committee that acquires monies shall submit those monies to the Town Secretary for deposit to the appropriate account."

    5. Action - Discussion, deliberation and possible decision setting a fee schedule for services provided by Town office staff and fees charged for use of facilities.

    6. Action – Parcel Maps – Discussion and decision regarding changing the name of Conejo Road to Johnston Road.

    7. Action – Review Nye County Room Tax law and discuss amending ordinance to allow a separate account of sub account.

    8. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item.
